Why month to month? The big writing tools quote a low price that’s really an annual contract in disguise; paying monthly is their expensive tier. We’d rather earn month thirteen than lock you in during month one. If Owlproof stops being useful, leaving should take less effort than a typo.
Why build this now?
In late 2025, the tool that had been the default answer to “how do I check my grammar” for more than a decade rebranded and repositioned around AI productivity: email, agents, meeting tools. A crowded race it may well win.
But that leaves the original question with no default answer. The people who just want their writing checked didn’t stop existing. They got rebranded away from.
